A pair of Rawlings Official Baseballs signed by the 1993 and 1997 Florida Marlins. The 1993 ball, the year the expansion Florida Marlins started Major League Baseball play, is a Rawlings Official National League Baseball (White) signed in blue ink by Jeff Conine, Monty Fariss, Chuck Carr, Orestes Destrade, Ryan Bowen, Matt Turner, Jack Armstrong, and Richie Lewis. The 1997 ball is a Rawlings Official 1997 World Series Baseball (Selig) featuring 17 Marlins signatures in blue ink, including players Edgar Rentería, Jeff Conine, Bob Natal, Kurt Abbott, Alex Arias, Rob Stanifer, Cliff Floyd, Robb Nen, Jay Powell, John Cangelosi, John Wehner, Darren Daulton, and Gregg Zaun and coaches Milt May and Jerry Manuel. It is also signed by a non-Marlin, pitching coach and scout Bruce Kison. The Marlins defeated the Cleveland Indians in seven games to win the 1997 World Series in just their fifth season in the league and become the first wild card team to win the series.
