A Toronto Blue Jays hat game worn by Dave Winfield. In his only season as a member of the Blue Jays, Winfield would drive in the World Series-winning runs by hitting a two-run double in the 11th inning of game six against the Atlanta Braves, leading the Blue Jays to the 1992 World Series title. The hat features an embroidered Blue Jays logo, with Winfield's number "32" handwritten in black marker on the underside of the brim. New Era manufacturers tag and Authentic Diamond Collection tags are present on the sweatband, with the tags placing the hat's manufacturing period within the 1992 season. Due to the facts that the only baseball games Whalen Monica, to whom Winfield gave the hat, attended in 1992 were the All-Star game and the World Series and Winfield was not selected to the 1992 All-Star team, and that the Blue Jays wore a different style of hat for home games, this hat is believed to have been worn by Winfield during the 1992 World Series at Atlanta's Fulton County Stadium. Monica was present in the Blue Jays locker room after the Blue Jays clinched the 1992 World Series title with a Game 6 victory. Size 7 5/8.
