A large, framed limited edition serigraphic print by LeRoy Neiman from 1991. Titled "Homage to Ali," the print features a series of images from the much celebrated October 30, 1974, Heavyweight Championship bout between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. From Foreman pummeling Ali against the ropes to the chant of "Ali bomaye!" ("Ali, kill him!") in the air to the series of punches that laid Foreman low, Neiman depicts crucial moments from the eighth round of "The Rumble in the Jungle" with signature dramatic flair. The print is signed and inscribed in black ink "To Harlan/ from/ Muhammad Ali/ 10-19-94" along with a small drawing of a boxing ring by Ali. In the 20 years that consignor Harlan Werner has worked for the Ali's, he has seen less than 10 of these serigraph's signed by Ali. The serigraph is considered one of the best prints Neiman has ever produced on Ali. Hand numbered 118/270 and signed by Neiman in pencil. Accompanied by documentation from Knoedler Publishing. 54 by 45 inches PROVENANCE From the Collection of Harlan Werner Categories:
