A New Era Detroit Tigers hat game worn by Al Kaline. The fitted dark blue wool hat centers a Detroit Tigers white embroidered "D" logo. Kaline's number "6" is written on the underside of the hat brim in blue pen, and the interior sweatband features a New Era manufacturer's tag. While the size tag has been removed from the hat, the anchor portion of the tag still remains. Due to the fact that Whalen Monica, who obtained the hat directly from Kaline, only ever attended baseball All-Star games and the World Series, it is believed that Kaline wore this hat during one of his 18 All-Star Game appearances or during the 1968 World Series.
