A Philadelphia Phillies hat game worn by center fielder Richie Ashburn. The burgundy colored Wilson brand wool hat features the Phillies "P" logo embroidered into the front exterior. Stitched into the interior sweatband of the hat is a Wilson manufacturer's tag and size "7 1/4" tag. Due to the fear of Ashburn getting hit in the head with a pitch, Ashburn's mother, Genevieve, took this hat and stitched padding into the lining of the hat, with hard pieces on the exterior and softer padding on the interior.
