An ivory silk blend ribbed hostess gown worn by Diahann Carroll on the groundbreaking television series Julia (20th Century, 1968-1971). Carroll's character in this show was one of the first non-stereotypical African American women portrayed on a weekly television series. The hostess gown has a side pocket, an intentionally frayed trim, a fitted bodice, and an A-line skirt. No labels present. Accompanied by a matching belt. Link to image available upon request.
