An ornate gold robe believed to have been worn by Melina Mercouri in the final scene of Gaily , Gaily (Mirisch Production Company, 1969). The mesh robe is embellished with pink, green and lavender embroidery work, artificial pearls, beadwork and large golden tassels that hang from the sleeves with a nude chiffon lining. No labels present. Ray Aghayan received the Academy Award nomination for Best Costume Design for his work on this film. A link to an online image is available upon request.
