A printed silk biblical gown believed to have been made for Rita Hayworth but not seen in the final cut of Salome (Columbia, 1953). Hayworth wears a stole of identical fabric in the film. The strapless gown has a built-in corset bra with boning to the waist and nude silk chiffon panties with a nude jersey slip. A Columbia label is inscribed "Rita Hayworth #1291," and a Columbia dry cleaning label is present. Jean Louis was the costume designer for Salome . Accompanied by a copy of the film. Categories:
