A cream chiffon ball gown worn by Mitzi Gaynor as Lotta Crabtree in Golden Girl (20th Century, 1951). Gaynor wears this gown while performing "Dixie." The strapless gown is composed of ivory chiffon layered over gold lamé. The bodice is boned and corseted to the back and embellished with silver bugle bead and rhinestone vines. The skirt is full with ruffles, rhinestone and bugle bead vines, applied flowers and foliage with bead and rhinestone detailing, and a graduated hemline with train. A bias label reads "1-27-7-7308 M. Gaynor A638-17." Costume design by Charles Le Maire. Accompanied by a copy of the film. Categories:
