A sterling silver box circa 1898 with a hinged lid embossed with a gathering of putti in the clouds, with London and "TW" hallmarks. Contained in the box is a group of seven cowry shells purportedly used by Rudolph Valentino for fortune telling. Given to Leslie Flint by Irene Wolfe, who received it from George Ullman. Together with a black wooden crucifix with a silver-toned figure of Jesus, purportedly from Valentino's personal collection and given to Flint, who gave it to Larry Taylor, who then gave it to the present consignor. Also includes a pastel on card stock painting of a human eye, trimmed from a larger image and housed in a small brass frame; purportedly brought back from one of Valentino's trips to France and later given to Flint by Wolfe.
