A gilt copper and stamped brass headdress with chain-linked lotus blossoms, worn by Anne Baxter as Nefretiri in the classic Cecil B. DeMille film The Ten Commandments (Paramount, 1956). Worn in the dramatic scene where Nefretiri reluctantly tells her lover Moses, played by Charlton Heston, that he was born of Hebrew slaves and is not a royal Egyptian prince. Note: This piece was later altered for subsequent production use and is missing a single lotus blossom from the front two strands. A fracture in the rear of the main headband is also in need of repair. Includes a DVD of the film. 10 1/2 by 6 1/4 by 5 inches Categories:
