A Harry Houdini typed, signed letter with handwritten corrections. The letter is dated July 8, 1917, written to Edwin Fay Rice. “Private” is typed at the top of the sheet with a handwritten notation “This letter is” with an arrow pointing to the word private. In the letter, Houdini discusses why Dr. Samuel Elliason will not be a member of the Society of American Magicians. Houdini writes in part, “Dr. Elliason … has done more to hurt magic than any one [sic] I know. … He has been exposing any and all tricks all the time, and would always seek notarity [sic]. …” Housed in a display with an image of Houdini and an image signed “Yours Sincerely, Samuel Elliason.” Framed, 13 3/4 by 21 1/4 inches Categories: Harry Houdini
