A black souffle handkerchief with lace trim made for and possibly film used by Greta Garbo in her Academy Award nominated role in George Cukor's Camille (MGM, 1936). Garbo's character suffers from terminal illness, so she carries lace trimmed handkerchiefs of ivory or black throughout the film. Costume design by Adrian. Accompanied by a copy of the film.
