An emerald green silk velvet Adrian period gown worn by Maria Ouspenskaya as Countess Pelagia Walewska in Conquest (MGM, 1937). The long-sleeve gown has a fitted bodice with pleated velvet embellishment to cuffs, pleated organdy to collar, an attached underskirt of moiré with satin stripes with an organdy fichu with pleated trim and a velvet bow. A bias label in the dress reads "8314." Accompanied by a copy of the film. Previously exhibited at The Sharon Landa Gallery in Hollywood, California, 1971.
