A taupe corduroy ensemble worn by Mary Pickford as Cedric Errol in Little Lord Fauntleroy (Mary Pickford, 1921). Pickford also plays the role of Widow Errol in this film. The costume comprises a bodice jacket, breeches both with bias labels inscribed "537," linen and floral lace collar and cuffs, and a pair of caramel velvet spats that are not original to this costume but accompanied the lot at the Mary Pickford estate sale and are worn in another scene of the film. Accompanied by a pair of shoes and vintage chocolate ribbon waistband that are not original to the costume, two studio images of Pickford wearing spats, the original estate sale receipt, and a copy of the film. Additionally, featured in the American Movie Classics documentary The Hollywood Fashion Machine : Faded Sequins , Tattered Dreams , Saving Hollywood's Classic Costumes (AMC, 2000). Previously exhibited: The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, "Hollywood 2000: The Eighth Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibit," February through April 2000, and at Raleigh Studios' "Mary Pickford: Women in Film" gala and The Hollywood Heritage Museum in Hollywood, California.
