An ice blue silk and tulle ball gown worn by Mary Pickford in her final film role in Secrets (Mary Pickford, 1933). The gown has a fitted bodice with puffed sleeves and a separate full skirt with many layers of tulle ruffles with lace trim and organdy and velvet artificial flowers. Costume design by Adrian. It has been reported that Pickford had Adrian design this gown based on a gown he designed for Norma Shearer in Smilin' Through ( MGM, 1932). Accompanied by an ivory organdy petticoat with many layers of lace trimmed ruffles original to the costume and three black and white film stills.
