A four page call sheet for The Lord of the Rings : The Two Towers (New Line Cinema, 2002) printed on white paper for use by actor John Rhys-Davies, who played the role of Gimli. The call sheet is signed by Rhys-Davies, and has his name and "waterfront" handwritten on the first page. The sheet is titled "Jamboree," which was director Peter Jackson's chosen name to keep the shoot anonymous. The sheet for unit 2A, shoot day 208, dated Saturday, October 28, 2000, states the shooting location as Poolburn Lakes in Ida Valley, New Zealand, and also has cast arrival times, transportation and make-up notes, radio numbers, facilities, trailer, and catering information. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this lot will benefit La Leche League New Zealand. “My wife Lisa and I are great supporters of breastfeeding having seen firsthand the benefits to our daughter Maia. We are indebted to La Leche League, an international organization founded in the US, which supports breastfeeding mothers. This year it's the 50th Anniversary of La Leche League in New Zealand where Lisa is a counselor and board member. I will be making a donation to LLLNZ and hope the publicity attending this auction will draw attention to the benefits to the health of the breastfeeding mother and her child.” JRD 11 3/4 by 8 1/4 inches PROVENANCE From the Collection of John Rhys-Davies Categories: The Lord of the Rings
