A three-piece lounging ensemble created from vintage pumpkin and gold textured lamé worn by Carroll Baker for her role as Rina Marlowe Cord, a character based on Jean Harlow, in The Carpetbaggers (Paramount, 1964). The ensemble comprises a long coat with slender ruched sleeves and side slits; a pair of slim trousers with ruching; and a fitted shell with a décolleté neckline. All three pieces have Paramount dry cleaning tags. Costume design by Edith Head, believed to be a Travis Banton costume pulled from Paramount stock. An image of Baker in this ensemble appears on page 311 of Edith Head : The Fifty Year Career of Hollywood's Greatest Costume Designer by Jay Jorgensen (Philadelphia: Running Press, 2010).
