An Adirondack model 288 RJ bat game used by Sal Bando. The ash wooden bat is uncracked and exhibits a few ball marks and stitch impressions on the left and back barrel with green and blue bat rack marks on the knob. The model 288 RJ is stamped into the bat knob with "32 1/2" weight written on the knob in pencil. While the bat labeling period places the bat between 1971 and 1976, Walen Monica, who obtained the bat directly from Bando, only attended Major League Baseball All-Star games and World Series games during that period. Bando was named an American League All-Star from 1972-1974, with his Oakland A's team appearing in the World Series during the same period. Due to the fact that Monica most likely would have obtained the bat from Bando at only either an All-Star game or World Series game, it is believed Bando used the bat during an All-Star game or World Series game between 1972 and 1974. The bat features an Adirondack logo stamped into the barrel and is stamped on the top of the barrel "Big Stick/ Sal Bando/ Flame Treated." Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
