A Spalding Official National League Baseball (Feeney) used in batting and/or fielding practice at the 1972 World Series. The baseball features signatures of members of both the Cincinnati Reds and the Oakland Athletics. The ball features 24 signatures including Reds team members Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, Tony Perez, Pete Rose, Clay Carroll, Dave Concepcion, Denis Menke and manager Sparky Anderson. The ball is additionally signed by Athletics team members Rollie Fingers, Reggie Jackson, Matty Alou, Sal Bando, Vida Blue, Bert Campaneris, Mike Epstein, Dave Hamilton, George Hendrick, Ken Holtzman, Darold Knowles, Blue Moon Odom, Joe Rudi, Gene Tenace, and then Commissioner of Major League Baseball Bowie Kuhn. The Oakland Athletics won the 1972 World Series in seven games, and Tenace was the series Most Valuable Player.
