A New Era Pittsburgh Pirates hat game worn by Richie Hebner. The fitted mustard yellow wool hat centers a Pittsburg Pirates embroidered "P" logo. Hebner's uniform number "20" is written on the underside of the hat brim in black marker. Sewn into the interior sweatband is a New Era manufacturer's tag and "7 1/4" size tag. Due to the facts that Whalen Monica, who obtained the hat directly from Hebner, was only ever in Hebner's presence at the 1970 National League Championship Series and the 1971 World Series, it is believed that Hebner wore this hat during game action at one of these events.
