A complete Baltimore Orioles uniform game worn by Orioles third baseman Brooks Robinson during the 1969 World Series. After the Orioles' loss to the New York Mets in the 1969 World Series, Robinson gave the complete uniform directly to Whalen Monica, who was friendly with Robinson. The uniform consists of a hat, jersey, pants with belt, socks and stirrups. The black wool hat features an orange bill and a Baltimore Orioles logo stitched into the front center. Robinson's jersey number "5" is written in ink on the underside of the hat bill. Stitched into the sweatband of the hat is a Wilson manufacturer's tag, with a "7 1/2" stamped hat size. The uniform jersey is a flannel cream colored button-down jersey featuring the "Orioles" script logo angled across the chest in orange twill-on-black felt above Robinson's number "5," also in orange twill-on-black felt. The back of the jersey features "B. ROBINSON" in black felt lettering, arched above the repeating number "5." Stitched into the bottom front left of the jersey is a Wilson size "42" tag as well as an additional tag reading "1969/ Set 1" in black embroidered lettering. The jersey also features black-on-orange piping detail at the end of each sleeve and around the collar. Absent from the jersey is the Major League Baseball 100th Anniversary patch that was worn by all players in Major League Baseball during the 1969 season, including the post-season.
