A seat back from the original Yankee Stadium in The Bronx, New York. The blue plastic seat back is numbered "16," which is the retired uniform number of legedary Yankees pitcher Whitey Ford. Ford was a 10-time All-Star with the Yankees, a six-time World Series champion and the 1961 Cy Young Award winner. Ford was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. Affixed to the seat back is a plaque that reads "Yankee Stadium/ April 18, 1923 - September 21, 2008." The seat back was used in, and removed from, the original Yankee Stadium in 2008. The seat back is manufactured by American Seating of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Affixed to the seat back is a Major League Baseball numbered hologram.
