A Rawlings brand 1997 Anaheim Angels road jersey game worn by Eddie Murray in his last season in Major League Baseball. Murray started the 1997 season playing for the Angels, appearing in 46 games before being released by the Angels on August 14, 1997. On August 20, 1997, Murray signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers, for whom he appeared in the final nine games of his career. The grey jersey with blue pinstripes and navy blue sleeves features the Angels logo stitched into the chest in red-on-white-on-navy-on-periwinkle quad-tone tackle twill. Stitched directly into the jersey is "Murray" in navy-on-white tackle twill lettering, arching over Murray's uniform number "33" in red-on-white-on-navy tackle twill. Stitched into the left sleeve of the jersey is an Anaheim Angels logo patch. Stitched into the right sleeve of the jersey is a Jackie Robinson patch commemorating the 1997 50th anniversary of Robinson's breaking of Major League Baseball's color barrier. Stitched into the bottom front tail of the jersey is a Rawlings manufacturer's tag with additional size "50" flap tag and "Set 1/ 1997" flap tag. Though Russell Athletic was the official manufacturer of jerseys for Major League Baseball in 1997, teams were allowed to wear jerseys from other manufacturers as long as they did not display any manufacturer's logos on the jerseys.
