A soccer jersey from Brazilian professional team Santos Futebol Clube (Santos FC), game worn by soccer legend Pelé during the 1972-73 season. The white jersey features an elastic collar and arm cuffs, with Brazilian manufacturer "Athleta" tag stitched into the back collar. Stitched into the upper left chest is a Santos FC team crest with two gold stars above. The gold stars represent Santos FC's victories in the 1962 and 1963 Copa Libertadores. Stitched into the back of the jersey is Pelé's uniform number "10" in black cloth lettering. The back of the jersey is signed by Pelé in black marker. Pelé played almost the entirety of his professional career with Santos FC; he was with the team for nearly 20 years, from 1956-74. Pelé is regarded by many experts, football critics, former players, current players and football fans in general as the best player of all time. The jersey originates from the collection of former Santos FC player José Ramos Delgado, Pelé's Santos FC teammate from 1967-73.
