An emerald green velvet period two-piece gown worn by Joan Bennett as Princess Maria Theresa in The Man in the Iron Mask (UA, 1939). The boned bodice has a sweetheart neckline and puffed sleeves with gold lamé lace with encased paste embellishment to cuffs with a matching double-layer full skirt. The bodice is stamped "S.Goldwyn" and has an MGM dry cleaning tag. Post production alterations are present. Costume design by Bridgehouse. Accompanied by the original United Costumers label inscribed "25G" and "Joan Bennett" and a copy of the film. Categories: Joan Bennett
