A black and white vintage original photograph of Theda Bara in period costume for her role as Madame Du Barry in the 1917 Fox film of the same name. Inscribed faintly by Bara. Marked on verso “Theda Bara/ in/ Du Barry/ The Cherry Dress/ Design by/ George Hopkins.” Du Barry’s story was the subject of four motion pictures between 1917 and 1934.
