The Sports Lodge is a local chapter of B'nai B'rtith International and works to provide athletic scholarships to young Jewish athletes. The engraved sterling silver plate features scalloped edges reads "Sports Lodge B'nai B'rith/ 14th Annual Dinner/ Hotel Roosevelt, January 23, 1965/ to/ Elgin Baylor/ for/ high principle and achievement/ in sports." The silver plate is accompanied by a black and white photograph of Elgin Baylor receiving this prestigious award.
