$125,000
A 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series ring presented to Dodgers pitcher Don Newcombe. 1955 would see the Dodgers win their first World Series title in franchise history, defeating in-state rivals the New York Yankees in seven games. It would be the only World Series the Dodgers would win in Brooklyn as the team relocated to Los Angeles after the 1957 season. Newcombe was the clear leader of the Dodgers pitching staff in 1955, finishing the season with a 20-5 won-loss record and a 3.20 earned run average (ERA). Newcombe’s win total and ERA would place him second in the National League for the 1955 season in both categories. Newcombe also became the first African-American to win 20 games in one season in 1955. The 14K white gold ring was made by jewelers Dieges & Clust. The ring centers a full-cut round diamond gauged at approximately 0.35 ct., further enhanced by 14 full cut round diamonds totaling approximately 0.60 ct. and graded H-I color and VS clarity. Surrounding the diamonds are the words “Brooklyn” and “World Champions.” The center of the ring is flanked on one shank with a baseball and bats, with Brooklyn’s logo “B” appearing below the baseball, and “Newk” engraved inside the baseball. The ring is flanked on the opposite shank with the word “First” and the year “1955” with the Dodgers logo appearing between. Size 10 ½, 32.3 grams. Categories:
