A collection of Rick Griffin preparatory artworks for Spiral Dragon Studios. The collection includes a framed mixed media on paper sketch that incorporates a dragon as an initial to the lettering that reads "Spiral Dragon." Five of the other artworks are variations on this design. Accompanied by two lettering studies of the words "Spiral Dragon," one pencil on drawing paper, the other pencil on tracing paper. Ida Griffin previously advised that Spiral Dragon was for a musician who wanted a logo for his recording company and was some of the last work that Griffin did before he died in August 1991.
