A Rick Griffin artwork commemorating the passing of Quicksilver Messenger Service guitarist John Cipollina, who died in 1989. Airbrush stencil on paper with an image of Cipollina playing the guitar, the winged eyeball frequently seen in Griffin's artwork, and red flames. Together with three artwork and lettering concepts for Quicksilver Messenger Service's album Peace by Piece . The first is a framed mixed media on tracing paper image of a figure holding a weapon with the "Quicksilver" lettering Griffin developed for the band's 1968 debut album. The second is a framed marker and pencil on tracing paper drawing of the same figure. The third is a framed mixed media on paper image of a similar figure in a different position. Accompanied by a promotional copy of the album with inscription on verso that reads "Charlie: Hope you enjoy this, thanks for your help. Gary Duncan."
