A group of Family Dog poster printing plates and printer's proofs for poster numbers 53 and 84 and 86. FD-53, also called "The Plains of Quicksilver," was designed by Victor Moscoso and advertised 1967 concerts of Quicksilver Messenger Service, John Lee Hooker and the Miller Blues Band. Present are three progressive printing plates and three uncut printer's proofs. One of the proofs is double-sided with a proof of the plates for FD-84 and FD-86. FD-84 and FD-86 appear here on three printing plates and progressive printer’s proofs. FD-84, on the left side of the plates and proofs, was designed by Bob Schnepf and advertises 1967 concerts in Denver, Colorado, by The Doors, Lothar and the Hand People, and Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band. This poster is also called "Flash." FD-86, on the right side of the plates and proofs, was designed by Victor Moscoso and is also referred to as "Flower Pot." This poster advertises 1967 performances at the Avalon Ballroom by Blue Cheer, Lee Michaels and Clifton Chenier. LITERATURE The Art of Rock by Paul D.
