A wardrobe trunk used by character actress Helen Martin while performing in the musical Purlie . Martin played Idella in the production which ran on Broadway from March 1970-November 1971. The trunk is wood framed with metal covering, leather handles, brass-tone hardware. Trunk opens to reveal four drawer and a hanging bar for clothing covered with a protective cloth. Stenciled on exterior “Helen Martin/ Purlie Co.” Stickers affixed to exterior read “ Purlie /Company/ Theatre.” 21 1/2 by 21 1/2 by 41 inches Categories:
