A pair of typed Frank Zappa written scripts. The first is from the unproduced film "Captain Beefheart vs. The Grunt People" by Frank Zappa. The script is contained within a Bizarre Inc. folder, and a handwritten notation on the cover reads "Original Not to go out !!!" The cover page on the 92-page script reads "Original Story and Screenplay/ by/ Frank Zappa/ copyright 1969/ by the author/ Property of: Intercontinental Absurdities Ltd." Some typed corrections and deletions within. A page titled "Captain Beefheart Ideal Cast" includes Rod Steiger and Grace Slick. The second is for "Billy The Mountain (New Stage Version)." The 63-page script is accompanied by a set of letters between Herb Cohen and Nick Bosustow of Stephen Bosustow Productions regarding the development of the script into a film. This script was obtained through Herb Cohen, Zappa's former manager and co-founder of the Straight, Bizarre and DiscReet Records labels. Largest, 12 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches Categories:
