A slubbed skirt suit circa 1940s worn by Madonna in her Golden Globe winning role as Eva Peron in Evita (Cinergi Pictures, 1996). The ensemble was also worn in the October 1996 issue of Vogue in a layout titled "Madonna's Moment" with images shot by renowned fashion photographer Steven Meisel. The suit comprises a tailored jacket with accordion pleated cuffs and slender skirt woven with black and carnation pink yarns. The jacket is labeled "Jovan Inc. Fashions" with two Palace Costumes labels ons inscribed "WS 572 D." The skirt has two Palace Costume labels one inscribed "WS 572 D." Costume Design by Penny Rose.
