A letter from Richard Nixon to John Ford. The letter, dated July 12, 1972, is typed on White House stationery and reads in part, "Your thoughtful telegram following my recent press conference meant a great deal." The letter is hand signed by Nixon with a handwritten postscript that reads "John Wayne was in to see me a few days ago. I asked him who was the best all time director. He replied instantly 'John Ford.' I agree!" Housed in a frame.
