$64,000
A jacket heavily embellished with allover iridescent faceted glass worn by Michael Jackson on the cover and in the feature spread of the December 1997 issue of LIFE magazine, also shown here lying on Jackson's bed at Neverland. The stones are encased in black metal, forming a top layer of mesh. The jacket has black metal epaulettes and detail to cuffs, silver hardware, chocolate satin piping, hook and eye front closure, and a matching sash with blue silk lining, with traces of make-up. A label reads "Exclusively Michael Jackson Gianni Vive Sulman." Gianni Vive Sulman was a brand devoted to extreme luxury and was best known for designing jackets for Michael Jackson and creating the world's most expensive parfum priced at nearly $89,000.00 a bottle. It is reported that Jackson purchased a couple of bottles. Accompanied by a copy of the December 1997 issue of LIFE magazine and a Commemorative issue of LIFE entitled "Michael 1958-2009," which also features images of Jackson wearing the jacket.
