A pair of mohair, wool, and angora loose-knit sock sleeves worn by Michael Jackson in his portrayal of Scarecrow in The Wiz (Universal, 1978). The sleeves that appear to be a pair of socks are striped in varying shades of orange, periwinkle, and ivory with ribbed cuffs. Jackson wears this costume throughout the entirety of the film. The Wiz was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Costume Design in 1978. Designed by Tony Walton. Accompanied by a copy of the film.
