A dusty rose silk charmeuse dressing gown worn by Jane Withers in The Mad Martindales (20th Century, 1942). The turn-of-the-century style dressing robe is created using the reverse (dull) side of the silk charmeuse. The bodice is fitted with a long skirt. The quilted yoke, cuffs, and hemline are trimmed with a ruffle. The yoke and cuffs also have a floral embroidery trim. A bias label reads "33813 J. Withers." Sam Benson was the wardrobe supervisor on this film. A link to an image of Withers wearing the robe is available upon request. Categories:
