CINDY BLACKMAN SANTANA VINTAGE GRETSCH DRUM SET

Cindy Blackman Santana Vintage Gretsch drum set. Cindy Blackman Santana is an extraordinary drummer who has performed with some of the world’s greatest musicians. She has toured with Lenny Kravitz for years through several world tours and multiple hit albums and has continued to play with Spectrum Road (a Tony Williams tribute band with members Vernon Reid, Jack Bruce, John Medeski), and Santana. She used this drum set while performing with Santana and John McLaughlin at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2011. This is her personal Vintage Gretsch drum set, which she hand picked from the “Gretsch Family Vault” and had refinished with a wrap coating at the Gretsch factory to make them match. The set also features Istanbul cymbals handmade in Turkey with DW hardware. A certificate of authenticity signed by Cindy Blackman Santana is included. Also accompanying the lot is an original archival pigment print of the Jerome Brunet photograph that illustrates this lot, signed by Carlos and Cindy Blackman Santana and the photographer. The print is numbered 10/200. Proceeds from the sale of this drum set will benefit the Milagro Foundation and Casa de Luz.
