An archive of material from the personal collection of comedy writer Clyde Bruckman, including the following scripts; Hugh Herbert in Love's A Screwy Thing (1946), with pencil annotations; The Sporting Editor (1936); Home Sweet Home Turns Sour (1942); It's Greek To Me (1942); an outline and a script for the TV show My Little Margie ; an outline and a script for Yankee Doodle Andy (Columbia, 1941); approximately four sketches for Barbara Jo Allen's character "Vera Vague"; two drafts of College Green (1940); a pair of outlines for Danny Thomas' TV show Make Room for Daddy ; Read 'em and Weep ; Aim High ; Hic , Hic , Hooray ! (1941); Andy's Victory Garden (1942); Gertrude ; Moon Over Las Vegas (Universal, 1944); Swat That Spy [ A Blitz on The Fritz ] starring Harry Langdon (Columbia, 1943). Also includes five black & white photographs of Bruckman during different stages of his life, including an image of Bruckman from circa 1920 standing between Babe Ruth and Al St. John. and a Paramount Productions publicity image of Bruckman released in conjunction with his assignment as director of the W.C. Fields film Man on The Flying Trapese (Paramount, 1935), and several other photographs of various subjects.
