An original director's script for Harold Lloyd's film Movie Crazy (Harold Lloyd Corp. , 1932), with annotations in pencil, from the personal collection of Clyde Bruckman, the film's director. Bruckman later lifted a scene from Movie Crazy and inserted it into the script for So's Your Uncle (Universal, 1943) which he co-wrote. In retaliation Lloyd successfully sued Bruckman for infringement which reportedly lead to Bruckman being fired from Universal pictures. Includes a copy of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals opening brief for the corresponding case. Also includes a black & white photograph of Lloyd on the set of Movie Crazy as well as several manuscript pages written in pencil containing various sketch and routine ideas written for Lloyd by Bruckman. In 1955, due to depression aggravated by legal troubles and alcoholism, Clyde Bruckman ended his own life using a pistol which he borrowed from Buster Keaton. Largest, 12 by 9 inches Categories:
