A letter dated March 22, 1935, written on Harley-Davidson Motor Company stationery from Joe Ryan to Harley-Davidson Sales and Service representatives in Orlando, Florida, regarding a complaint about the 1935 headlamp bulb. In the letter Ryan describes the improvements in the bulb and how the service representatives can improve its function. The letter reads in part "One thing sure, it puts a strong beam of light way down the road where a fast night driver needs it." Ryan was the service manager and began Harley-Davidson University.
