A custom-made Drum Workshop (DW) drum kit, consisting of 10 drums, played by Michael Jackson's drummer, Jonathan Moffett, during early in-studio rehearsal's for Jackson's "This Is It" concerts that were scheduled to take place at London's O2 Arena starting in July 2009. The kit features a DW "Broken Glass" wrap finish in silver glitter that features real pieces of broken glass under the wrap finish. The kit consists of four "Rack Toms" with rack-mount bracketing and individual diameters and depths of 10 by 8, 12 by 10, 13 by 12, and 14 by 12 inches. In addition are two "Floor Toms" with 16 by 14 and 18 by 16 inch dimensions, with stand-mount bracketing (i.e., no legs). All Toms feature Remo Coated Ambassador drumheads that exhibit moderate use. Included are three bass drums with dimensions of 22 by 20, 24 by 20, and 26 by 20 inches and a snare drum with dimensions of 14 by 4 inches. All three bass drums feature DW custom drumheads on the front, with air/microphone cut-outs at the bottom. All drums are stamped with a DW serial number. The kit can been seen during in-studio rehearsal segments in the documentary performance film This Is It (Columbia Pictures, 2009), which accompanies this lot. The film chronicles the rehearsals and lead-up to Jackson's scheduled sold-out concerts in London in 2009. Categories: Michael Jackson
