$1,920
A Slazenger Phantom 90 tennis racquet owned and used by tennis legend John McEnroe and believed to be gifted to McEnroe by Jimmy Connors. The racquet features "Yellow Pacific" gut strings and an L4 grip size. Additionally appearing on the inside of the racquet throat is a tag that features McEnroe's name and specs for stringing of the racquet. The racquet is accompanied by a letter from Slazenger, dated May 21, 1998, stating that in their opinion this is one of McEnroe's racquets. Slazenger also concludes in the letter that due to the fact that "Jimmy Connors used to use this exact racquet, it would appear that John got this frame from Jimmy probably during a European tour stop." While McEnroe was widely known for his use of Dunlop brand racquets, in 1980 Dunlop merged with Slazenger to form Dunlop Slazenger International. Length, 27 inches Categories:
