A Worth Model WC175 Ray Knight Model baseball bat, manufactured during the period of 1984-1986, and game used by Knight. The bat exhibits heavy use by Knight, with a slight lower handle crack. Many ball marks and stitch impressions are present, with bat rack marks on the barrell and handle. There is a heavy coat of pine tar on the handle and Knight's initials "RK" the length "4" and model number "WC175" are stamped into the knob. Knight's number "22" is written on the knob in blue marker. The barrel of the bat is stamped "Hand Crafted/ Ray Knight/ Model." Due to the facts that Whalen Monica, who obtained the bat directly from Knight, only attended baseball's All-Star Game and World Series on a yearly basis, that Knight did not participate in the 1984, 1985, or 1986 All-Star Games (the All-Star Games that took place during the manufacturing period of the bat), that Knight's only post-season appearance during the 1984-1986 period was in 1986 as a member of the New York Mets, and that Whalen Monica only attended the All-Star game and the World Series in 1986, thus making the 1986 World Series the only time Monica would have been in the presence of Knight to acquire the bat, it is believed that this bat was used by Ray Knight during the 1986 World Series. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA. Bat Length, 34 inches PROVENANCE From the Collection of Whalen "Whaley" Monica Categories:
