Together with a pair of nude panties and a pair of black panties, both worn by Streep with the caftan and prior to a lovemaking scene. Streep and her co-star Nicholas Cage were nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and Best Actor respectively, and Chris Cooper won for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
