DENISE RICHARDS "STARSHIP TROOPERS" WORN COSTUME

A canvas military jumpsuit with paint spatter throughout and a large hole through the left shoulder, worn by Denise Richards in her role as Lt. Carmen Ibanez during her last fight scene in Starship Troopers (TriStar Pictures, 1997). Richards was pierced by one of the aliens through the shoulder during the scene. The costume has "Carmen" handwritten on the inside. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects in 1998, and Richards was nominated for Favorite Female Newcomer in the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards that year.
