A Madonna and Child icon, hand painted on wood, with enamel and seed pearls, surrounded by a sterling and parcel gilt oklad made by Imperial silversmith Pavel Ovchinnikov and hallmarked with his maker's mark and the Imperial Warrant, for Moscow, 84 zolotnik, 1886. A personal engraved inscription around the perimeter of the frame is dated March 1887.
