A five-page contract dated November 1, 1956. It is the agreement for the formation of one of Elvis Presley's music publishing companies, Gladys Music Inc., named for Presley's mother. The document is signed by Elvis Presley, Julian Auerbach of Hill and Range Songs, and Col. Tom Parker. Several such partnerships were made with Hill and Range Songs so that Presley and Parker could receive royalties on the songs Presley recorded. This particular company holds the royalty rights for some of Presley's biggest hits, including, "Teddy Bear," "It's Now or Never," and "Can't Help Falling In Love."
